Refer to Job # RUXX10198 One of the largest mutual life insurance companies in the United States seeks an Attorney with 5+ years' experience in insurance law or litigation. The candidate assists the company in matters of law involving its insurance and other operations by providing legal advice and direct legal services to company departments and field agencies. Reports to the vice president and lead counsel, Berkshire. Respond to the legal needs of every department in the company. Internally, this position comes in contact with all departments and all levels. Serve on ad hoc committees within the company to address particular interdepartmental problems or needs. Representing the company, opposing counsel, judges, Guardian agents and brokers, peers in the insurance industry and association groups, policy owners, clients, vendors and state insurance department personnel. The candidate should have a law degree and licensed to practice law in one or more states of the United States.
